Al Ma'sara, 29.7.2011
Report by Popular Committee:
Two injured in the weekly demo of Al-Ma’sara village
Two Palestinians injured in the non violent demo, Mohammed Brijya the spoken person 33 years was injured in his chest when the solder hit him by his gun two bones was broken, while Hamed Salem his hand broken
More than 100 of Palestinians Israeli’s internationals participated in
Al-Ma’sara demo
The demo starts from the center of the village around 1 o’clock raising
the Palestinian flags and banners, when they arrived at the entrance of
the village the solders prevent them from reaching there land , the
demonstrators decide to have a football match there
After the protesters start the foot match, the solders arrest the ball,
then they release it
While the protesters are playing the balls touched one of the solders then
the solders followed mohammed and he hit him by gun until he break his
chest , mohammed was transferred to the hospital , one moment later Hamed
was pushed strongly on his hand and it was broken then he
transferred to the hospital
The foot match was important because there are many people from
different nationalities playing together, all of them believe in the
rights of the Palestinians
It was nice to see the solders angry when they saw the people plying
enjoying their time while it was not allowed for them even to talk, or to
take off their helmets in the hot weather

Mohammed suffers from Hemiplegia, now he is away from his family and newly born son- whom never hold in his hands yet -.Let's try to help him pay for his medical treatment that he can't pay for alone;in order to be able to join his family in Gaza again.."
September - Statement/call by "popular committees"
The popular committees against the wall and settlements confirms that next September is the immense popular battle. The popular committees against the wall and settlements in Palestine sent a message this evening about the issue regarding the intention of the Palestinian Authority to go the UN for the recognition of the Palestinian State. The Committees confirmed the right of the Palestinian people to have their state fully recognized with its capital Jerusalem through going to the UN, guaranteeing holding to the Palestinian fixed rights. The committees have considered the coming September as an important phase of struggle in the history of the Palestinian cause and have called upon the Palestinian people in all its categories wherever they are to actively engage and participate in such a phase. They have also called upon the Palestinian leadership not to tie going to the UN against going back to negotiations. The committees have announced the commencement of intensive action in all their positions, hoping that activities will expand to include more locations in the Palestinian and the international arenas using an immense popular struggle program. Therefore, the committees call upon our Palestinian people in all their locations in Palestine and Diaspora, the fellow Arab countries and the international arena of supporters, solidarity movements and friends around the world to support this motion by action in their communities for the recognition of the Palestinian state to become the state number 194 in the United Nations.
More on the "tent protests" that some term Israeli "social justice movement" and that others feel very critical about (including me, so I'm not posting the strangely celebratory posts a-la "this is an Israeli Tahrir" - except for Gideon Levy's - because they make me nauseous (some argue that the housing shortage in Tel Aviv proves the settlements - which are in parts empty - can never be dismantled!)
